Nothing By Mouth by Charlotte Lastra

When your insides become your outsides, shit gets tough. After an unexpected diagnosis, Charlotte Lastra tries to understand what to do with a body she never expected to have. By methods poetic, scientific and illustrative she takes a journey through the digestive system and into the belly of a whale.  A one person show with low-fi overhead projector animation, Nothing By Mouth is an exploration of the mechanics of literally digesting an experience.

Presented as part of the Rhinoceros Theater Festival

Saturdays 6/1, 6/8, 6/22 at 5:00

Sundays 6/16, 6/30 at 7:00

Facility Theater 1138 N. California Ave.

THE GOOD

Written and performed by Jenny Magnus

Chicago Dramatists 798 N Aberdeen, Chicago IL.

What is goodness? How are we supposed to be good and interesting? Is the pressure to be good, to be proper, to not hurt others, to not transgress, actually a way to hold one down?  Can someone be not good but in tiny ways no one might notice? And what about the word, “virtue”?

Round & Round: a sexfarcetragedy

Round & Round revolves around one woman and three men in a tangled story of overlapping love and life relationships and the intoxication of power. Performing on a giant lazy-susan set made to resemble a rotting wedding cake, the characters twist around one another in a cycle of love and attraction.
